Privacy Policy
How Elovoen collects, uses, and protects your personal data.
Version 1 · Last updated 5 July 2026
In short: We collect the information needed to run a safe, vetted marketplace — your account details, locations relevant to your bookings, payment data (handled by Stripe), and vetting documents for drivers and providers. We share data only to deliver the service or where required by law. We never sell your data.
Elovoen is operated by Jak & Zam Conglomerate LTD (company no. 14883574, England & Wales), registered office: The Joiners Shop, The Historic Dockyard, Chatham, Chatham ME4 4TZ, United Kingdom. For privacy questions, contact support@elovoen.com.
Data we collect
- •Account data: name, email, phone number, profile photo, and role (customer, driver, provider, corporate, admin).
- •Booking data: service type, pickup/drop-off or service addresses, date/time, notes and job requirements.
- •Location data: drivers — continuous location during active trips (including while the app runs in the background) for dispatch, routing, ETA and safety; riders/customers — pickup/drop-off and live tracking during a booking.
- •Payment data: card and payout details are tokenised by Stripe; we never store full card numbers.
- •Vetting documents: identity, licences, insurance, qualifications and DBS checks where applicable, for drivers and providers.
- •Ratings & reviews: a 1–7 bidirectional rating with optional feedback and compliments.
- •Messages: in-app chat between users, moderated for safety; contact details are masked until a booking/lead is accepted.
- •Device & usage data: device type, push tokens, app interaction, and crash/performance data.
- •Telemetry: harsh-driving events (acceleration/braking) and speed against posted limits, for driver safety.
How we use your data
- •Match customers with vetted providers and operate bookings end-to-end.
- •Dispatch drivers and provide live tracking and ETAs.
- •Price trips (zones, tolls, congestion, surge) and process payments, payouts, refunds and wallet credits.
- •Distribute and gate leads to providers; reveal contact details only on acceptance.
- •Verify providers and maintain trust, safety and fraud prevention (including GPS-teleport and anomalous-rater checks).
- •Send booking confirmations, reminders, support messages and push notifications.
- •Meet legal, tax and compliance obligations.
Lawful bases
We process your data under: performance of a contract (delivering bookings and payments), legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, service improvement), legal obligation (tax/records), and consent (analytics and marketing where you opt in). You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the service you need.
Location data — special notice
Driver location is collected continuously while you are online or on a trip, including when the app runs in the background. This is necessary for dispatch, routing, ETA, live tracking by the rider, and safety. You can stop sharing by going offline or closing the app. Rider/customer location is used only for the booking in progress.
Sharing & processors
- •Stripe — payment tokenisation, payouts and subscriptions.
- •Mapbox — maps, geocoding, route/ETA and live-tracking tiles.
- •Push providers (FCM/APNs) — delivering notifications.
- •AviationStack — flight status for airport pickups.
- •Other users: per trip, drivers and riders see each other's first name, photo, rating and live location during the trip; per lead, a provider receives the customer's contact details only when the lead is accepted.
- •Authorities, where legally required.
We do not sell your personal data.
Retention
We keep data while your account is active and afterwards only where needed for legal, tax, payment, fraud, safety, dispute or compliance reasons. Completed-booking financial records are tombstoned (personal identifiers removed where possible) and held for the legally required period. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to, and port your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights use the in-app Settings → Delete account flow, or our public Delete Account page. If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
Children
Elovoen is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are communicated in-app or by email before they take effect. The version and date above reflect the current revision.
